About

I work at a seam that rarely sits in one person: psychometrics, educational data mining, curriculum design, and product. For ten years I have translated curriculum into mastery-based learning — and translated learning science into software that has to survive a real classroom.

My background runs from item design and validation for Chile’s national assessment system to leading middle-school mathematics under the IB MYP, to co-founding an EdTech effort focused on data and personalized mathematics. I am a Master’s candidate in Educational Research at the Universidad de Chile.

What I sell is judgment: deciding what is worth measuring, how to translate learning science into product decisions, and how to institutionalize quality so it outlives any one project.

The four lenses

01

Psychometrics

Decides what a score is allowed to mean — and what evidence would make it wrong.

02

Educational data mining

Finds the signal a single classroom can’t see, without mistaking activity for learning.

03

Curriculum design

Turns a standard into a claim worth teaching toward, and an assessment worth trusting.

04

Product

Makes the measurement legible enough that a teacher can act on it — or argue with it.

“Judgment, not metrics. I’d rather be right about what matters than precise about what doesn’t.”

I play bass and drums. Keeping reliable time so other people can play freely turns out to be most of the job off-stage, too.
